Tracer Studies
The Scholars Program at Makerere University as a practice conducts tracer studies of the Scholar Alumni to track the transition pathway and professional development of the graduates. This activity is carried out every two years and the information collected is used to improve programmatic and institutional policy and practices.
Scholars Entrepreneurship Projects
The Scholars Entrepreneurship Project is an initiative that supports Scholars in their transformative leadership journey as innovators and entrepreneurs. In Phase I of the Scholars Program, 46 Scholars Entrepreneurship Projects were supported from ideation to acceleration. See the link on Scholars entrepreneurship projects impacting their communities.
Alumni Engagements
The Scholars Program is intentional on alumni engagement in a number of programming activities delivered to the Scholars and Scholar Alumni. To date, the Scholars Program has supported 1,032 Scholar Alumni and out of these 964 have graduated. An Alumni Engagement Strategy, 2025 - 2030 has been developed as framework to guide in the engagement of the Scholar Alumni. See link for the Alumni Engagement Strategy, 2025 - 2030.
